Buyer beware

I purchased this app a couple of years ago. A few months ago they changed to a yearly subscription. I am okay with that. But a few weeks ago they said I need to change to a monthly subscription. If that happens I will file a complaint with Apple to deal with this company. I agreed to a contract and they want to change it not a month after? I would not buy this app until I lost in a month to see if they charge me.
